What Are We to Billionaires — Labor or Livestock?

A leak shows that OpenAI is actively planning to insert ads into ChatGPT responses.

The fairy tale was that AI would free us. The reality? It’s the most efficient wealth-extraction machine ever built for billionaires.

AI Doesn’t Replace Developers — It Creates Busywork

I’m a backend engineer. I’ve tried using AI to write code.
Result? 70 % of it is wrong, 25 % is “almost right,” and 5 % is usable.
I end up rewriting everything anyway — only now I’ve wasted 20 minutes reading hallucinations instead of just typing the damn code myself.

AI is not an autonomous agent shipping features 24/7.
It’s a very expensive autocomplete that makes you feel productive while actually slowing you down.

Even for UI work (my weak spot), the designs look “cool” in isolation but create a Frankenstein app with zero visual consistency. After ten vibe-coded pages I throw everything away and redesign it properly.

Bottom line: AI didn’t make me 10× faster. It made me 2× slower and infinitely more annoyed.

AI’s Only Real Superpower: Fast Research Sidekick

That’s it. That’s the feature.
A slightly smarter Google + ability to summarize papers and find obscure docs.
Useful? Yes. Revolutionary? Not even close.

Use It or Lose It : Your Brain Is Atrophying

Every time you let AI think for you, a neuron commits seppuku.
The less you think, the less you’re worth. The less you’re worth, the faster you’re replaced.

No skills → no job → no money → no future.

Ads + Hallucinations = Paid Lies at Scale

Now imagine this already-unreliable hallucination machine starts getting paid to lie.

Questions we should be asking right now:

  • Will sponsored answers be labeled clearly — or buried?
  • When two companies bid for the same query, does the highest bidder win?
  • Can a billionaire pay to make ChatGPT say their competitor’s product causes cancer?

If ads become the primary revenue model, truth becomes just another bidding war.

Rich people already own the media. Soon they’ll own the “smartest” entity most people talk to every day.

That’s not science fiction. That’s the business plan.
